Children's Church at Komstad
|
Halfway
through the Sunday morning service, we invite children to
move downstairs, where they can enjoy a time that is structured just
for them. |
|
|
The
children play games and hear stories. They
learn scripture and talk about how the Bible lesson applies to their
lives.
|
It
looks like fun, and that's the idea. We want to involve kids in
activities that they
enjoy.
|
|
|
Sometimes
the
time is structured. We try to plan activities that will
challenge the children's rapidly developing skills. |
And sometimes
the kids roam more freely between activities, because young children
learn by playing and by exercising their imagination.
|
|
|
We
bring
several ages together in one large classroom
space. That takes a lot of helpers, because we want to give attention
to each child.
|
We
call this
our family-style Children's Church. Older children help with the
younger kids, just as they do in their families. |
|
|
Our
helpers
are great.
They
make things fun. |
And
we love to
have fun, even if we're learning something important at the same time. |
|
|
At
the end of
Children's Church, we want our kids to know that God loves them very
much! |
Open my eyes so that I might see great and
wonderful things in your word.
